Tasha Tudor's illustrations were as much a fixture of my childhood as the writings of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Lucy Maud Montgomery. I've always had the greatest admiration for her dedication to preserving a vanishing way of life, long before it became fashionable. She will be greatly missed.
